Islamabad were up against Karachi Kings in a shortened fixture on Friday evening at the time of writing this preview. Prior to their contest against Karachi, Islamabad had downed the Quetta Gladiators by five wickets in their last contest on February 15.
Two wickets each from Shane Watson and Mohammad Sami helped the side restrict the Quetta Gladiators to 148/6 in the first 20 overs of their contest. Sam Billings proved to be the star turn during the chase as he top-scored with an unbeaten 78 runs off just 50 deliveries in order to help his side cross the line. Watson also did well with the bat as he hit 36 runs off 27 deliveries.
Peshawar’s last fixture against the Quetta Gladiators ended in no-result. The team were batting first on the occasion and went on to post 117/3 in the first 16 overs. Tamim Iqbal was going strong on 62 runs while Sohain Maqsood was unbeaten on 30 off 24 deliveries on Friday.
