After Lahore's Arfa Karim Tower, Islamabad to get an IT Park



Korea has entered a deal worth Rs 10 billion with Pakistan for construction of an Information Technology Park on 42 acres in Islamabad that will provide 5,000 jobs.


Reportedly, the project will benefit over 100 IT firms which will set up their offices in the facility and around 5,000 IT experts will get employment opportunities.


Officials associated with the project have stated that the park would add to economic prosperity and boost growth of IT sector in Pakistan.


There is a similar facility in Lahore from where dozens of IT-related firms operate. Arfa Karim Tower in Lahore is namesake of Pakistan’s then youngest Microsoft certified professional, late Arfa Karim.
